If you haven't done it already be sure to enter the contest. You have until Friday, May 28th to enter.
It's 8:30pm, I'm listening to Hoxton Handmade podcast and trying to catch up with my blog reading...
alas, my blog list has gotten so long I can't keep up. There is an advantage to this sometimes as I can go to someone's blog I haven't visited in say 20 or 30 posts and catch up. Like visiting and old friend that I haven't seen in awhile.
Tonight I even went back through some of my own posts from last November (I was looking for a specific post that showed my good friend ChickenLady in her Strawberry Shortcake pj's). I love looking back through my old posts. Reminds me how much fun we have here at Chez B.
The Saint is doing this...
and LittleDog is doing this...
It's time for me to do some of this...
I know this photo is dark but like I said at the beginning...it's getting late and the light is fading. Time to see The Saint off to work.
Thanks for stopping by, have a great evening.

Fiber Arts Friday...300th Post!
Can you believe this will be my 300th post?! Sounds like a reason for a celebration...stay tuned for a giveaway sometime next week.
We're also celebrating The Saint's 60th birthday...it was officially yesterday but since he had to work last night we'll be going out for our favorite soup tonight...and maybe some cake.
While I'm thinking about what kind of contest we can have to celebrate #300 I'll show you my progress on Mr. Greenjeans. click to biggie-size photos
Not bad for 12 evening's worth of knitting? I'm enjoying this project but hoping I don't run out of yarn. I should be ok if I don't make the body too long. Of course I can always opt for shorter sleeves than the pattern shows. My arms are pretty short anyway so I should be good.
I've turned the heel and finished the gusset of my second watermelon sock so that should be finished this week. There's a sewing machine patiently waiting for some tlc in the basement. Hoping I get to that sometime tomorrow, first I have to take Sam to the vet; annual shots and some meds for his broken out skin. Even though he's been on the allergy shots for a while he's not done with them yet and this spring pollen has taken it's toll on his fragile system.
It's Fiber Arts Friday so be sure to stop in and say hello to Andrea and all the gang that participates in the Blog Carnival.
I'll be enjoying a little staycation today and Monday...nothing like a long weekend! Saturday is the Fiber Fiesta up in Greenville. I'm pretty excited about it. Lots of fiber and friends.
Hey, everybody have a great week. LittleDog says be chill...

Inspiration
I am frequently reminded how inspiring simple things can be...
...a few dinner dishes sitting in the drainer in the early evening light.
I truly enjoy my assortment of FiestaWare and this is one example why. You can get any number of random color combinations on any given day. Some days they just make me smile and I have to get my camera to remember a particular combo. This one would make a nice knitting project or a quilt.

Happy Mother's Day
Last night we had our Mother's Day celebration at a new local Asian restaurant. I opted for the less theatrical table in the other room. I am not a fan of flying food. It was very yummy, I had the Massaman Curry w/Tofu and the company was great as always. Thanks for a fun night! you know who you are
It's been a lovely day. The sun is shining, it's still a bit breezy and the temp is in the mid 50s. A great day to stay inside, admire the sunshine and knit, or surf the net or make a nice pot roast dinner...that's what I've done today.
Mr. Greenjeans in Red is coming along nicely, I'm a couple inches farther than this picture shows but have to take a little break as a couple fingers on my right hand were going numb...not a good sign...too much purling I think...
LittleDog has been my faithful companion all day. He likes to sit in the
I wish he'd learn to sew...

It's Friday let's have some fiber
Welcome to Fiber Arts Friday, Chez B edition.
Today we have a pair of socks in progress...
the beginning of Mr. Greenjeans - my red version
and an awesome Aldens DeLuxe 147B...I picked this beauty up Wednesday night and can't wait to get her cleaned up and find out how that Button Hole feature works.
I think that pretty much covers all the ways I'm doing fiber this week.
Hope you all have a fabulous weekend. Be sure to check out the other FAF bloggers who participate at Wisdom Begins In Wonder.
LittleDog cracked me up the other night. When I looked in the back room and saw him chillin, leaned up against The Saint's work boots. Silly LittleDog!
