I added a couple of very pretty braids to my fiber stash the past couple weeks. Here they are in order of purchase...
100% Merino, Fish Out of Water from KnitsinClass.etsy.com
80% Merino, 20% Tussah Silk, Red Rocks from ClawTreeFibers.etsy.com
100% superwash Corriedale, Mayim Bialik from (Rule Out): Fiber Addiction, NOS
Some progress has been made on that Ugly Sock...I'm ready to do the heel turn, something I couldn't accomplish last night while chatting at the coffee shop.
Mostly, I've been hangin out with knitters trying to forget how busy I am at work. Not very exciting, I know.
Looking forward to a good weekend though...thanks so much for all the kind words about last Saturday's memorial service. The service was nice but the weather (6" of fresh snow) and the drive (1hr, 15) were not. Saw some old friends we haven't seen in awhile and that was a good thing.
Since I've been so busy at work LittleDog is feeling a bit neglected. He really doesn't like having the chair all to himself...
anybody that is "owned by a pug" knows why the chair is wearing a sheet, LOL,
between the "fish-butt" and the shedding you "can't have anything nice".
Have a great week everybody! Thanks for stopping in and remember to leave a comment so I know you've been here. You'll find more creative peeps over in the FAF blog circus on Andrea's blog. Go check 'em out!

"Mostly, I've been hangin out with knitters trying to forget how busy I am at work." I hear ya! Your new fiber stash is beautiful. I have fiber goodies from Kate and Emily and their fiber is fun. Haha! I love how you weren't going to spin and now you have a whole wall devoted to stash ;-) I get so many compliments on my hat using your yarn. It was even recognized at last week's Wine and Wool Fest. "Is that your AllyB hat?" By golly, it was.
Love the colours of your new stash!
Oh, I'm having 'roving envy' my friend!! I love having lots of fiber in my stash. It makes me feel like the world is full of possibilities!! :)
I like your ugly sock. :-)
What wonderful colors and you should have happy feet when your socks are complete.
Oh, the fiber stash is growing! Love the range of colors. I will eventually get to my hand spindle. Eventually. :)
Haha, the sheet on the chair :-) we tried slip covers, blankets, various textured fabric covers through the years, now trying out leather for a change.
Your new fibers are so pretty! and I definitively see a color theme. Have a good weekend!
Love the new acquisitions. I hear ya on the pet thing -- we have a shepherd but long ago gave up on trying to keep up with the fur -- I should spin her! She's our first shepherd, we're used to drooling labs -- did you know, shepherds don't drool.
Beautiful fibre breaids, looking forward to seeing what you spin
Hi Ally - I found the mannequin head on Etsy. The shop is called Luketti.
