Merry Christmas!
Boomer's on look out for Santa...
and I survived the office Christmas party today...
I managed to gift these cute little Hedgehog pin cushions to a couple of special people last night.
Now it's on to the regular knitting...The Saint's Big-Ass Sweater still needs to be finished and I have the ZigBagZ in the works...hopefully I'll get those both done by the end of February...that's the goal anyway. But, of course, the Ravelympics are gonna get in the way...
Have a great holiday!

two forward, three back...
...the perfect description of my knitting activity this past week.
The scarf I had 3/4 done...
frogged! It needs a larger needle and a garter stitch border. It was too tightly knit and rolled on the long edge, ew.
The clog sock I'm working on...
I've tinked at least 20 rows at least 3 times, gah!
I have a bunch of little projects swirling around in my head but I know that realistically I should stop thinking about the holiday and focus on post-holiday projects. I do have to get a couple things finished up in the next couple of days though.
During all this needle and yarn wielding, Boomer's most difficult task has been figuring out what position he wants to sleep in...

in my knitting chair! Fortunately, Sam chooses the floor to sleep on...ever on alert though for any threat, LOL
On Friday Winnie came to spend the night with us.
It's always fun to have him here. Although he didn't seem to thrilled with us this time. He spent a lot of time watching the door waiting for his Mama.
We're on the count-down to the holiday. A three day work-week and a bunch of days to relax and knit...just doesn't get any better!
If I don't make it back here before Thursday I hope all of you have a wonderful day if you are inclined to celebrate.

finishing and starting
I finished the scarf I was making for a recovering friend.
no it isn't blocked yet...I'm waiting on a set of wires to come from KnitPicks.
Started a new scarf to go with my new bright green coat...maybe the scarf will tone down the coat a bit, LOL
Boomer is still lazing around. He even goes to sleep on Rena when she comes to visit. As he is in this picture...sleeping on Rena's lap. He still loves her even though she evicted him...hehehe
12 days til Christmas...are you ready?

Decorating at Chez B
This is it...
The tree has been uncovered, brought up from the basement and placed in a spot where I'll see - it alot. Then I hung some lights around the window. Phew! I'm exhausted now, LOL The snow outside adds a nice touch don't you think?
Sending you all some holiday spirit. I thought if I put up some pretty lights it would help me feel more cheery. I'll let you know in a couple days.
In the meantime I've been knitting like a fiend on this...
I hope to finish it by the end of the week so I can give it to a special friend. I've sent up many healing thoughts while knitting this piece. She's finally (after 8-9 weeks) been moved to a continuing care facility and hopefully will be strong enough to get home by Christmas.
I'm thinking I'll need some blocking wires, better go check out the Knit Picks site...
